LAMB ROGAN JOSH SPICE KIT (4 meals in one kit)

1) FRESH INGRDIENTS YOU WILL NEED:

  • 500g lamb
  • 4 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • Salt to taste

2) THESPICEMRKT PROVIDES:

  • SPICEMRKT PREMIUM BASMATI RICE (200g)

Kashmiri Pandit Style Recipe (No garlic and onion):

  1. Marinate meat with 2 tbsp yogurt, 1 tbsp of Rogan josh spice blend, and 2 tsp of salt for at least 20 minutes.
  2.  Heat up a pan (medium), add 3-4 tbsp of oil, add dried whole spices pack, after frying for a few seconds, add the marinated meat and 2 tbsp yogurt fry until yogurt darkens.
  3.  Add 1.5 tbsp of spice blend and cook for 1 minute, add 1/2 cup of water, salt, cover and bring to a boil then simmer for 45 minutes.
  4.  Remove cover, if watery, let sauce thicken for 5 minutes, garnish with chopped coriander, and also season to taste.
  5. Serve over basmati rice or parathas, enjoy your home-made Rogan Josh!

Kashmiri Muslim Style Recipe (With garlic and onion):

  1. Marinate meat with 2 tbsp yogurt,1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tbsp of Rogan josh spice blend, and 2 tsp of salt for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Heat up a pan (medium), add 4-5 tbsp of oil, add dried whole spices pack, after frying for a few seconds, add 1 cup of chopped onions, fry until slightly brown. Add 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste and cook until aromatic. Then add 1.5 tbsp of spice blend and cook for 1-2 minutes, be careful not to burn the spices.
  3. Next add the marinated meat and 2 tbsp yogurt fry until yogurt darkens, add 1/3 cup of water, salt, cover and bring to a boil then simmer for 35 minutes.
  4.  Remove cover, let sauce thicken for 10 minutes on low-medium heat, garnish with chopped coriander, and also season to taste.
  5.  Serve over basmati rice or parathas, enjoy your home-made Rogan Josh!
